Experienced. Capable. Responsive. Customer-focused.
Founded in 1961 as Northwest Regulator Supply, AmFor Electronics is now in its sixth decade serving the transportation field. Today, our privately-owned company offers custom wire harness and cable assembly and a range of other related services, while our legacy business continues to develop, manufacture and market the industry standard computerized alternator and starter test equipment for the automotive aftermarket.
With all operations located in Portland, Oregon, USA, we maintain maximum control over quality and lead times, ensuring our customers the highest quality in the shortest lead-time at the best possible price. It’s a concept we call “Lowest Total Landed Cost” and we think you’ll learn to love it just as much as we do.
With more than a half century of experience in the transportation field, we bring a customer service perspective that is unmatched in the industry. Because we are an OEM ourselves (we manufacture our own alternator and starter testing equipment) we understand what OEMs need from their suppliers– responsive, flexibility, fair pricing, and an undying commitment to customer satisfaction.
In recent years we have adopted lean manufacturing processes that have resulted in increased efficiencies, lower costs and better pricing for our customers. Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures the highest quality while also maximizing responsiveness to customer-driven design changes.
We are consultative contract manufacturers. Along with manufacturing and assembly capabilities, we offer engineering assistance and product design collaboration to improve manufacturability, serviceability, and supply chain efficiency.
We are actively involved in the following industry organizations:
